CERES Final TPM and European Hackathon Winner Announcement
18 Maggio 2026
The final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the CERES project recently took place in Denmark, hosted by Aalborg University.
Over a few inspiring days, project partners came together to reflect on the CERES journey, discuss the final project steps, and explore the future impact of the initiative beyond the Erasmus+ project lifetime. The meeting represented an important moment to consolidate the work developed throughout the project and celebrate the collaboration built among partners across Europe.

CERES has focused on redesigning skills for the circular transition by connecting education, innovation ecosystems, and labour market needs through training programmes, hackathons, and the Circular Economy Digital Innovation Hub
During the TPM, partners also had the opportunity to visit the newly opened Circular Factory Lab — the National Demonstration Center for Circular Production — an innovative space dedicated to advancing circular manufacturing practices, experimentation, and sustainable production models. The visit offered an inspiring insight into how research, industry, and circular innovation can come together to support the transition towards more sustainable systems.

One of the most exciting moments of the TPM was the official announcement of the European winner of the CERES Hackathon.
Following the local hackathons organised in different European countries, four finalist teams advanced to the European stage, presenting innovative solutions addressing real circular economy challenges. The winning team stood out for its creative proposal focused on the construction sector, combining innovation, sustainability, and an impactful presentation approach.

The CERES Hackathons represented a key part of the project experience, offering students and professionals the opportunity to transform ideas into practical solutions while developing transversal, digital, and sustainability-oriented skills.
For those who could not attend the live announcement, all recordings are now available on the CERES YouTube channel, while updates and highlights can also be found on the CERES LinkedIn page.
As the project approaches its conclusion, the CERES consortium continues working to ensure that the knowledge, networks, and tools developed throughout the project will continue generating impact and supporting the circular transition across Europe.
